Nowadays Torremolinos is a very different area from its early "Heydays" Torremolinos still has bars and night venues but they tend to be a lot more tranquill than before and not as many of them, The town of Torremolinos has bars & shops, it has also become one of the main gay areas in Spain with many bars and gay discos, The area known as Montemar has many bars, restaurants and some live music venues (Recent licence law enforcements have forced many to close), Carrihuela area is the place for seafood restaurants and the Paseo maritimo areas of Bajondillo, Playamar and Los Alamos has some nice beach bars with some of the more trendy hip night venues situated on the beach at Los Alamos..
