El Calvario Above the town centre, up hill towards the main coastal motorway, is the area known as El Calvario, this is the more local residential area of Torremolinos there are still a number of traditional white houses, small tapas bars, restaurants and shops here. The Town hall (Ayuntiamento), Bull Ring, market,sports centres and many more of the amenieties you would expect to find in a town are located in El Calvario.
Bajondillo Area is located along the beach and stretches from Santa Clara to the tourist information office at Playamar , Bajondillo houses many hotels, beach bars and tourist type shops, there is also a small street market, selling "Tourist tack" situated in front of the Bajondillo Hotel, Lots of Cheringhitos selling fresh seafood and traditional Spanish fare, great beaches all help to give Bajondillo area a real feel of a fun holiday destination, There are 2 lifts linking Bajondillo to the town one situated behind the Costa del sol Melia hotel and the other at the bottom of the Calle San Miguel steps, (Lifts are open from early morning untill the evening)
