Top Marbella party spot , popular with rich & famous, loses music licence

Boutique Hotel Sisu, Puerto Banus, Marbella have been instructed to stop holding music events by the City Council . After a number of complaints from a nearby urbanisation concerning noise levels, Inspectors from the town hall visited the venue and verified that the conditions under which the permit was granted were not respected by those responsible for the hotel. The hotel had a special licence to play music during the tourist season between 10 am and 9pm . But inspectors claim that the sound limiter , which was a condition of the licence, was not operating correctly and on a number of occasions had been turned off. In addition, sound emissions were detected out of hours and with levels much higher than allowed, as well as music in the pool after two o'clock in the morning. The City Council has decided to revoke the authorization for anymore musical events etc. A regular Marbella party go-er commented to CNR "This is just another nail in the coffin of good times for the young in Marbs" ....
