Light on the Horizon with Spanish Airport strikes
As talks enter the final week between Spanish Airport unions and the Government aimed at avoiding strikes across Spain.
Talks made “significant progress,” with the UGT, CCOO and USO unions reporting the chances of reaching an agreement this week are “looking good.”
Unions and management have already reached a deal on working hours and salary. All that remains now is to agree on increasing staff numbers and percentage increases in salaries.
The government department has announced plans to employ an extra 600 staff, and is considering increases in pay.
If negotiationsfail to reach agreement , strikes will start in October according to Union officials.
